Thistle Hill is committed to providing a fully inclusive environment. We believe that all children have the right to succeed and we aim to meet the individual needs of our pupils at all times. We are able to provide a range of interventions and strategies which will minimise barriers to learning in a fun and stimulating manner.
We hold the same expectations for pupils with a special educational need as for those without but remain fully aware that some children require a different approach in order to achieve success.

Specialist Resource Provision
The Thistle Hill Academy Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) is a small SRP created to provide an inclusive learning environment for children (aged 4-11) who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health Care Plan where the primary need is SEMH.
The SRP provides a nurturing environment offering a personalised learning programme for its pupils, who have previously experienced disrupted education leading to disengagement and challenging behaviours and/or exclusions from a mainstream environment.
Children benefit from a dedicated teaching team who have specialist knowledge and skills in supporting children with SEMH.
Thistle Hill Academy’s SRP provision has robust systems in place to regularly access and monitor children’s progress in an emotionally secure environment.
